31 Christmas Activities OPEN after Christmas in Utah!

What do you do that week between Christmas and New Year’s? We still love to enjoy Christmas activities, especially since we usually can’t fit everything in to the calendar that we want to do before Christmas. This list has 31 amazing Christmas activities that are still open after Christmas here in Utah. Enjoy!

1. Gingerbread House Scavenger Hunt (Logan): through Dec. 30. Gingerbread houses located along Main Street. Map here.


2. Sleigh Rides on the Farm (Wellsville): American West Heritage Center through Dec. 30. Select days and times: Check here.


3. Hardware Ranch Sleigh Rides (Hyrum): Fridays through Sundays from 10:00 am-4:30 pm through Feb. 15. Sleigh rides through the elk herd that winters here.

4. Tremonton Lights (Tremonton): every day 5:30-midnight through Jan. 1. Park in the Food Pantry parking lot. More details here. Light show timed to music.


5. Ogden Christmas Village (Ogden): lights on every day from 5-10 pm (until midnight on Friday and Saturday) through Jan. 1. Walk through village and lights.


6. Christmas in Color (South Jordan): Monday-Saturday through Dec. 30. Drive-thru light show. New music starting Dec. 27 and use code “WRAPPED25” to save 25% off tickets from Dec. 27-30.

7. World of Illumination (Salt Lake City): Open every day through Dec. 31. Drive-thru light show.

8. Tree of Light (Draper): Every day from 5-10 pm through Jan 7. Huge tree covered in lights.

9. Temple Square: Every day from lights from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m until Jan. 1. Check our post for what is available during construction.

10. Grand America Holiday Windows (SLC): Dec. 21 – Jan. 1
 from 10 am – 8 pm. Decorated holiday windows and a giant gingerbread house.


11. Macy’s Candy Windows (SLC): Windows viewable through Jan. 1. See the large ornaments made entirely from candy on the west side of Macy’s in City Creek Center.


12. Gardner Village Elves (West Jordan): See what the elves are up to through Dec. 31st. Make sure to participate in the scavenger hunt for a free piece of salt water taffy.

13. Herriman Winter Window Walk (Herriman): Businesses have decorated their windows for the holidays in Herriman. On display through Dec. 31. Use this map to find them.


14. South Jordan Candy Windows (South Jordan): Stroll down Towne Center Blvd in South Jordan to enjoy the candy windows (Plus a few in other places). Locations here. On display until Jan. 1.


15. Park City Snow Globes (Park City): Main Street in Park City is decorated for the holidays and you can see the large snow globes. Snow Globe Stroll on display through January 5.

16. Layton City Lights (Layton): Layton City puts on a fabulous light display. You can drive through or walk through. Our boys love the focus on animals.


17. Roy City Lights (Roy): Another great city light show. This one is best if you get out and walk around. Lights are on through Dec. 31.


18. Luminaria (Lehi): Thanksgiving Point puts on a stunning light show. This is one of our absolute favorite Christmas adventures. You can enjoy Luminaria through January 6.

19. Orchard Lights (Orem): The lights at the Orchard (University Place Mall) will be on until January 2. More details here.


20. Salem Pond Town Christmas (Salem): We love the trees on the pond and how the lights reflect. This is a unique Christmas lights display and you can see it until Jan. 1.


21. Evermore (Pleasant Grove): This year Evermore is only open on Fridays & Saturdays, but you can stop by until Dec. 30. Entrance to the grounds for the lights is free in 2023, and you can add additional activities for a fee (ice skating, train ride, etc).

22. Riverwoods Lights (Provo): The lights at the Riverwoods are always awesome. You can walk through these lights until Dec. 31.


23. Festival of Lights (Spanish Fork): Spanish Fork puts on a great drive-thru light show. The lights aren’t timed to music, but some do move. We enjoy this one every year. Lights on unit Jan. 1.


24. Gordo’s Winter Wonderland (Spanish Fork): New Event this year at Gordo’s Fun Farm. They have fun lights, a sledding hill, and a trolley ride. And it’s super affordable. You can visit Gordo’s Winter Wonderland until Dec. 31.

25. Light Walk (SLC). Stop by the Tracy Aviary to enjoy Light Walk. This Christmas light display has beautiful lights throughout the grounds. The event runs through Dec. 31.


26. Rocky Mountain Outfitters Carriage Rides (Jordanelle State Park): These wagon rides through the lights are so much fun. The jingle of the bells from the horses make this adventure so unique and fun. There are rides through Dec. 30.


27. ZooLights (SLC): Visit the ZooLights at Hogle Zoo through Dec. 30. We love spotting a few animals at night, and the lights are super neat.

28. Red Hills Desert Garden Lights (St. George): We love the desert garden, and the lights are so beautiful. Walk through this display until Dec. 31.


29. Fisher Farms Festival (Hurricane): This local farm has some fun Christmas happenings. They will be open through Dec. 30. Check out the schedule here.


30. Delta City Office Lights (Delta): Delta City has a fun light display on their city building that runs through Jan. 1.

31. Local Christmas Lights (all over): Most family homes will leave their Christmas lights up through the end of the year. We don’t have schedules for each individual home, so we cannot guarantee that they will be on. Here are some of our favorites:

There are probably other activities open after Christmas in Utah that we missed, but we hope this list gives you plenty of of ideas to help make your Christmas break a ton of fun.
