West Salt Lake Valley Christmas Lights Drive PART 1

We are so excited to share this West Salt Lake Valley Christmas Lights drive. There are so many amazing homes, and we are so grateful to all of the homeowners who put light shows on for FREE for us to enjoy. In fact, we are going to split this drive into two separate drives because it took us a very long time to visit all of the homes.

So this post will be about the homes in the Magna and West Valley area. If you’d like to see the light drive that is more in the Taylorsville and West Jordan area, visit this post: West Salt Lake Valley Christmas Lights PART 2.

This light drive will probably take around 2 hours, so you can visit all of the homes, half the homes, or just one. Decide what works for you. We have put them into a loop, but feel free to arrange depending on which direction you are coming from. Here is our West Salt Lake Valley: Magna & West Valley Christmas Lights Drive.

Stop 1: 3722 Crowder Dr.

This house is like a smaller version of Frosty’s Winter Wonderland. The yard is covered in decorations and it is a fun one to get out and walk around to get a closer look. You can also hear the music that they have playing in their yard if you get out (or roll the windows down). This is a fun stop to start your drive.

Stop 2: 3549 S 5450 W

This stop has a fabulous light display. It has a lot of different objects and they are all timed to music. We really loved the joy with the Nativity scene inside the O. There were also some unique songs that we had never heard before. The trick thing about this one is parking, so make sure to find a spot off the road to enjoy the show. Tune to 96.7 FM and the lights are running from 6-10 pm every night.

Stop 3: 3232 Hinton Ct.

This home is a small display, but the lights do dance to the music. There are lots of fun decorations including two large camels. They also have a fun tree that shows pictures and designs. The music is only heard with windows down or if you get out. If you need to skip one house on this drive, this is probably the one we would skip. But it is a fun stop if you have plenty of time.

Stop 4: 2922 Flagstone

The Flagstone lights are a brand new show and they are awesome! When we visited, the owners were outside adding even more decorations while we watched. The lights are bright and extremely well-timed to music. There are items on both sides of the house, on the garage, and even on the roof. This is a super fun stop. Tune to 88.1 FM.

Stop 5: Christmas Street in Magna

We are huge fans of the 3 Christmas Streets in Utah, and this one is awesome. The entire street is decked out in bright Christmas lights. And we love the lights that make a tunnel over the road as you drive through. Drive slowly and enjoy all of the lights. Or you can park and walk the entire street up and back. It is a cul-de-sac, so you turn around at the end.

Address: Miracle Cove Drive, Magna (about 3100 S 7325 W)

Stop 6: Mesa Garden Holiday Lights

This show is also in a cul-de-sac, so be careful where you park so you don’t block anyone else watching the show. The Mesa Garden Holiday Lights show is awesome. The show has about 15 songs (we didn’t get to listen to all of them), but they are so well-timed to the music. There is also a fun screen in the window showing videos and patterns.

Tune your radio to 107.7 FM. They have dedicated their 2023 show to their 5-year-old granddaughter who is battling neuroblastoma cancer. There is a donation box on site or scan the QR code for donation if you would like to say thank you for the great show and support their granddaughter.

The show runs nightly from Thanksgiving through New Year’s. Sunday-Thursday from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m.

Address: 3547 S Mesa Garden Circle, Magna

Stop 7: Whoville in West Valley

This house is unique because the owners cover their entire house so that it looks like the Who-ville portrayed in the original Grinch book and movie. They also encourage you to get out and take photos, which we definitely did. It’s a fun stop! Tune to 94.5 FM to hear snippets from the movie. Display is on until Dec. 26 from dusk to 10 pm each night.

Address: 4249 S 6485 W, West Valley City

We created this map to help you see where the lights are. Let us know if we missed a great home that we need to add to this area of the Salt Lake Valley. We were very impressed with the West Salt Lake Valley Christmas Lights. Make sure to check out Part 2: Taylorsville & West Jordan Christmas Lights Drive.
