We have really enjoyed Gordo’s Fun Farm Fall Festival, so we were excited when they announced a Winter Wonderland Christmas Event at their little farm. Gordo’s is a family run farm and has put together a fun Christmas adventure for families. We can’t wait to see everything that they add as this event continues to grow. But go check out Gordo’s Fun Farm Winter Wonderland in their opening year (2023).
One of the big highlights of the Gordo’s Fun Farm Winter Wonderland is all of the fun photo opportunities. There are adorable decorations and cute little booths set up. We stopped at a few of them and took some pictures, but there were families there taking more professional pictures. You could definitely get a great Christmas card picture here.
The kids’ favorite part was the tubing hill. There are tubes provided and a little hill all set up for kids to cruise down. When we visited there wasn’t any snow, so it was fun to still get the chance to tube early in the season. The hill goes pretty fast, so hang on!
There are fun lights all over Gordo’s Fun Farm Winter Wonderland, as well as holiday music playing in the background. We enjoyed looking at all the lights, and the fun screen.
Games, Animals, & Fun
A lot of the fall festival fun is still set up. There are a few animals including some deer. There are a bunch of slides (watch out for mud at the bottom). And there are some other fun activities like books to read, ring toss, musical instruments, and more.
Gordo’s Fun Farm is partnering with Red Nose Ranch. It is a brand new collaboration where they will be offering trolley rides on the farm. The rides take you down a path decorated with lights. This wasn’t even set up when we visited because they are still working out the details, but it should be a ton of fun now that it’s up and running. You can see what Red Nose Ranch did last year at their own location on this post.
Food & Drink
Gordo’s has a little stand selling hot cocoa and s’mores kits. There are fires to warm your hands up, but you can also buy a smore’s kit to enjoy an extra treat.
You can buy a fresh cut Christmas tree at Gordo’s Fun Farm Winter Wonderland. They are selling trees, and if you buy a tree, you get admission to the other activities for free. This is a great spot to get your Christmas tree.
Tips for Families
Gordo’s Fun Farm is run by the sweetest young family and we love the amazing events they are creating for families to enjoy. It is very affordable to visit Gordo’s Fun Farm Winter Wonderland and you can enjoy the tubing hill, lights, photo spots, and a trolley ride. Definitely a good deal for families. Here are a few tips:
- Wear boots or other shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. It was quite muddy when we visited.
- Dress warm! We had our full winter clothes on and still needed to warm up by the fire.
- Buy tickets here! Or you can buy tickets at the door.
