While we were out on an adventure to Escalante we found a great restaurant in Garfield County called Nemo’s Restaurant. This is the next entry in our series of best restaurant for each county in Utah.
Nemo’s Restaurant is located on Main Street in Escalante and is open 7 days a week. It is a small drive-in with tables outside. There is no bathroom nor inside seating, but the food is great. We ordered burgers, fish, fries, and shakes. The fries were pretty basic, but the burgers were thick and grilled just right. The flavor was among the best we’ve ever had in a burger. Mom liked the breaded fish, too.
There were only 3 choices of kids meals: Grilled cheese, corndog, and chicken nuggets, so we had to order an adult hamburger for our youngest. Still, we got out of Nemo’s for under $25 for all 5 of us, and our kids ate all their food!
Nemo’s Restaurant also has a drive-thru. We watched quite a few cars pull up and order their food which is cooked fresh as you order it, so if you need to grab a quick meal, you can use the drive-thru.
As usual, we ended our meal with ice cream. The boys had rootbeer floats which were great with hard ice cream, and the shakes that we had were delicious, too. Mom had the triple berry, and dad tried the peanut butter cup. Both shakes were delicious with tons of mix-ins. It was really nice to eat outside in Escalante in the evening after the heat of the day was gone. There was lots of shade in the evening over the dinner tables. We loved the food at Nemo’s!
