We love a good park, and Heber City has a great one. Main Street Park has been the center of Heber since it became incorporated, but the park has been updated with a really nice playground. It also has a massive grassy area, a pavilion, and restrooms.

Playground

Our boys liked the play area in Main Street Park. It has multiple levels and plenty of places to climb and explore. For moms there are shaded benches around the area, too. Best of all, the surface under the playset is soft, but not the kind that bakes in the heat. It is a sort of faux grass that protects childen, but doesn’t get too hot.

The playground has multiple levels, and those levels actually provide shade for kids. Our boys loved being able to play out of the sun in some areas of the park because there is no shade covering the playground. There are large shady trees in the grassy areas of the park.

Concerts in the Park
We happened to be at Main Street Park on a Thursday in the summer, and discovered their Concert in the Park series. Every Thursday from June to August there is a live band playing in the northeast bandstand. There were also dozens of vendors selling food and other trinkets. The park was really crowded and fun.

We had a great time listening to the music and walking through the stalls. If you have a free Thursday night make sure to check out a free concert! The market is open from 4-9 pm with the concert starting at 6:30 pm. Check out the list of bands here.

Main Street Park is located on the west side of Main Street between 200 and 300 South. For other ideas, check out our Things to do in Heber Valley.
