Mom was a serious volleyball player in high school, and still likes to play setter for our church team on occasion. And since we’ve been to a BYU football game and a BYU basketball game, we decided that we should take in a BYU volleyball game.
Though the venue was smaller than the other two sports, the Smith Fieldhouse was rocking, and we had so much fun. BYU is generally very competitive in Men’s Volleyball, and this was no exception. We saw a game between BYU and Stanford, and BYU won in 4 sets. One thing that made the game really fun was that volleyball fans are very passionate about their sport, so you are surrounded by rabid fans. (At BYU it’s still a great family environment, though.)

Our boys are not very familiar with volleyball, but with the way they do rally scoring throughout the entire match, they caught on quickly. Of course, when we got home they set up a line of chairs, blew up a balloon and played “volleyball” for days after this adventure.
One nice perk which we took advantage of is the Pass of All Passes. If you’re not familiar with the Pass (and most Utah Valley residents are) it allows you into tons of venues and events around here, including discounts for many others for one low fee. Click on the link to learn more about it. BYU Men’s Volleyball is one event that we were able to attend with our Pass of All Passes for FREE!

Make sure you check out a volleyball game soon!
