Ashton Gardens | Thanksgiving Point

We have an annual pass to Thanksgiving Point, and we often find ourselves at the farm or the dinosaur museum. Recently, though, we decided to check out the Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Points. We’d only been there once before, and that was for a birthday party long ago.

Our family loves walking through the beautiful Ashton Gardens. They have a beautiful waterfall that you can view from either the top or the bottom. In September the flowers are still gorgeous. There were even some wild animals. We saw the cutest cottontail bunny and two humming birds (that were too fast to get a picture of).

It was very relaxing to stroll through the gardens. Some people had rented a golf cart, others (presumably on dates) were using segway scooters. We had a stroller and were happy for the exercise. As you walk, you’ll come across open spaces. Our boys loved to roll down the hills. There are also stops like the carousel, the secret garden, and the waterfall.

Make sure you pick up a map before you go. We try to visit all of the different areas in the Ashton Gardens. There is a rose garden, an Italian garden, and even a garden built for smells. The beds are higher off the ground so that you can easily smell the flowers. The Gardens have quickly become one of our favorite places to visit at Thanksgiving Point.

There are two events in the Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point that are some of our favorite adventures of the year. First is the Tulip Festival held every spring. The gardens are covered in tulips and daffodils and it is beautiful. We visit every year. Our other favorite event happens in December. Luminaria is amazing. The entire gardens is covered in lights and fun holiday activities. It is such a fun family-friendly activity.
