We found another great restaurant in Utah. Slacker’s Burger Joint is located in the small town of Torrey near Capitol Reef National Park, and it makes our list as Best Restaurant in Wayne County.
Slackers is located on the east end of town, and it has both a walk-up window and a dining room. This restaurant serves classic burgers, fries, and shakes, which is the reason we loved it. All the food is made to order, so it takes a while, particularly if they are busy. When we arrived, there was a line to the door and no empty tables, so we waited over 30 minutes for food. If you think you’re getting fast food, you’ll be frustrated with the wait.

The food is really good, though. We ordered a Heath Bar Shake and Chocolate Shake and both were great. The burgers were even better. Nice thick patties with everything on them, cooked fresh. The portion of fries was small, but they had two options: regular and sweet-potato fries. The kids meals were $5, which is a great family-friendly price. We also tried fried cheesecake. This dessert was so delicious with cinnamon ice cream and caramel.

We also liked the friendly service and clean restaurant. They have decorated the dining room with license places from all over. Some are even on the ceiling. Better hurry, though! Slackers closes at 8 pm, but they serve the best burgers in town!
