Slacker’s Burger Joint Restaurant

We found another great restaurant in Utah. Slacker’s Burger Joint is located in the small town of Torrey near Capitol Reef National Park, and it makes our list as Best Restaurant in Wayne County. One of our favorite things to do on our trips is check out local restaurants and share them with you. Slacker’s is deifitnely a favorite.

Slackers is located on the east end of town, and it has both a walk-up window and a dining room. This restaurant serves classic burgers, fries, and shakes, which is the reason we loved it. All the food is made to order, so it takes a while, particularly if they are busy. When we arrived, there was a line to the door and no empty tables, so we waited over 30 minutes for food. But we think it is definitely worth waiting.

Slacker’s has a great variety of burgers and sandwiches.
You can order and eat outside if you’d like. It was cold the day we were there, so we enjoyed food indoors.

The food is really good. We ordered a Heath Bar Shake and Chocolate Shake and both were great. The burgers were even better. Nice thick patties with everything on them, cooked fresh. The portion of fries was small, but they had two options: regular and sweet-potato fries. Slacker’s also has a good variety of kids meals for the young ones. We also tried fried cheesecake. This dessert was so delicious with cinnamon ice cream and caramel.

The burgers and fries were delicious.
The burgers are huge!
We enjoyed our shake before the food came.
Our boys thought the food was great, too!
The fried cheesecake was really good. Worth trying!

We also liked the friendly service and clean restaurant. They have decorated the dining room with license places from all over. Some are even on the ceiling. Make sure to check their current hours before visiting. Slacker’s Burger Joint is generally open from March through the end of November. There are license plates from all over the country here.
