Bloomington Petroglyph Park is a small area with a large petroglyph display. There is one large rock on display in this park. There is nothing in this park other than the petroglyphs, so this is an adventure to pair with something else in St. George.

The petroglyphs are definitely worth the stop. The entire rock is covered in markings, and we spent most of our visit trying to decide which ones were real. We hope that most of them are, and that people will remember to treat these areas with respect.

Other than the rock, there are some bushes around, but not much else. We walked through the park looking for lizards and rabbits, but didn’t have any luck. We wish there was a little bit of history of the area and the petroglyphs. Where did this rock come from? Was it found right here? Hopefully the city will improve this display in the future.

Bloomington Petroglyph Park is located at 1469 Geronimo Rd in St. George. This is just a few minutes from Tonaquint Park where Thunder Junction All Abilities Park is located, as well as the Tonaquint Nature Area. These would be great adventures to visit after a quick stop at Bloomington Petroglyph Park.
This is a really cool stop. We went here in 2018. I love how it’s surrounded by homes right in the middle of a neighborhood.
It is so interesting that it is right in the middle of houses. I really want to know the history of how they found it!
