Guest Post: Best Parks in Davis & Weber Counties

Hello!  We are Harmony, Stephanie and Melinda from The Salt Project.  Between the three of us, we have 11 kids, yes, it’s that crazy. We feature things to do in Utah with kids. (Most things we write about are still cool to do without kids too.) We host weekly giveaways on Wednesdays, so be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and occasionally twitter!

Summer is here! Holla! We’re excited to share some of our favorite parks in Weber and Davis County. Tag #thesaltproject so we can follow along your adventures too!

NICHOLS (1)

Nicholls Castle Park | Kaysville, Utah

This park is just off Highway 89. It’s a great park for kids of all ages. There’s a toddler section, big kid section and picnic tables. We love picnicking and walking along the Bair Nature path along the river just below the park.

HIGH ADVENTUREPARK (1)

High Adventure Park | Ogden, Utah

This park is not just for kids. It’s totally a park for adults too. Has a little kid park right next door too. It’s also along the Weber River, so be sure to throw some rocks in for good luck.

TOLMANHEADER

Tolman Park | Bountiful, Utah

Lovely little park tucked in the heart of Bountiful, perfect for hot weather with all the shady trees.

FIRESTATION

Fire Station Park | Bountiful, Utah

Yes, it is that cool. Plus this park only has one way out, which, totally helps a mama out! It’s also right next to the Bountiful Fire Station (hence the name.)

LAYTONDUCKPOND

Layton Duck Pond | Layton, Utah

Feed the birds…or ducks or the geese and the random sea gull. Pack a lunch, some for you and the ducks and find a shady spot. There’s the pond/river and the playground. You’re also right next to the Layton Amphitheater that hosts lost of summer concert too.

We’re super excited for summer fun and all the Utah has to offer! We’d love to hear about all your favorite places too! Get out there Utah!

xoxo- Harmony, Stephanie and Melinda
