Locations along the Grand Loop

There are 8 major locations along the Yellowstone Grand Loop. Use our guides for each section to find the best activities in each area of the park.

Madison is located closest to the West Entrance.


Mammoth is located at the northwest corner and is open year round.


Tower-Roosevelt are in the northeast corner of the park and where we see the most bears.


Canyon is a central spot in Yellowstone and is home to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.


Norris is a smaller area, but home to many geological features.


One of the most popular parts of the park because of the Old Faithful geyser.


This area of the park is based around Yellowstone Lake.


This is the most southern area of the park closest to Grand Teton National Park.


HIKES

WATERFALLS

Yellowstone is full of waterfalls. Some can be seen from the roadside and some require a little hiking, but all are beautiful. Make sure to visit a few Yellowstone Waterfalls when you are in the park.
