The Outlets at Traverse Mountain have a fun activity this year for Christmas. You can take a sleigh ride to Santa. So if you are looking for a fun way to see Santa, you can check out the Traverse Mountain Sleigh Ride.
Depending on the weather, the wagon will either be on wheels or runners. On the night that we went there was no snow to be found, so we had a wagon ride. The ride begins on the west side of the Outlets. There is a small check in booth and a fire to warm yourself by while you wait for the ride to begin.

The ride is about 5-10 minutes long as you wind through the open field over to the North Pole. Our driver was a lot of fun and taught us about the horses as we went along. She also had us sing some Christmas carols to get everyone excited to visit Santa. As you arrive at the North Pole there are some fun Christmas lights, and then you hop out to go visit Santa Claus.

Santa Claus is at the Outlets every night, and you don’t have to ride the sleigh over to see him, but we thought it was a fun way to arrive at his house. You can visit with Santa for free, but pictures are not allowed unless you pay for the professional photos. However, this Santa Claus was fabulous! He was so fun with the children and very personable with the adults, too. We had a lot of fun visiting with Santa, and he spent a considerable amount of time with us. The boys were dubbed Junior Elves and given the charge to spread the Christmas Spirit to those around them. It was magical.

After visiting with Santa, make sure to walk over and see the large Christmas tree that is at the center of the outlets. It is the tallest fresh-cut Christmas tree in Utah. Our boys were amazed at its height, but they liked the basketball sized ornaments even better.

The rides to Santa are $5/person for 3 and older, but if you shop at the Outlets and show your receipt you can get 40% off your tickets for up to 5 people. They ask that you make reservations at least 24 hours in advance by emailing the company who is running the sleigh rides: doubletreeco@gmail.com or you can call them at 801-901-8369. The rides run every 15 minutes between 5-9 pm. For all the details, visit Traverse Mountain Outlets site.
