Tonight we decided to check out the Art City Donut Truck. We’ve tried the Waffle Love Truck and enjoyed it, so donuts seemed like a natural next step. The line was pretty long for donuts, but they work fast and we didn’t wait long at all.
The donuts are bite-sized cake donuts, and they do several different things with them. First, you can get them plain, glazed, sugared, etc. They come in groups of 8 (small), 12 (medium), or 18 (large). Remember, though, they are bite-sized donuts, but a large is definitely a shareable size.
You can also get a specialty plate which comes in the large size. We got French Toast and Strawberries and Cream, and both were excellent. (French Toast was a little better.) They also had Maple and Bacon (called Sweet Pig on the menu), which we didn’t get to try. Somedays they have other flavors as well. We’ve heard the Boston Cream donuts are excellent.

Like all trendy food adventures, this one was a little pricey (we paid $17 for 3 plates of donuts), but the kids were in heaven. Our 8 year-old bragged that he ate 13 donuts, and no one else was very far behind. It is probably telling that our donuts lasted about 3 minutes!
You can find the location of the donut truck on their Facebook page. They are delicious and worth a try!
