Red Nose Ranch

Red Nose Ranch is combining with Gordo’s Fun Farm Winter Wonderland this year. So check out our latest post about how these two adventures are becoming one on our latest post: Gordo’s Christmas Event.

Red Nose Ranch is a brand new Christmas Activity in December 2022. This family site is located in Payson on the south end of Utah Valley. While you’re there, you can take a wagon ride, enjoy s’mores, soups, and other foods, or visit the friendly animals. We spent around an hour and a half at Red Nose Ranch, and we found it to be a fun, new family adventure.

Rudolph’s Red nose is the focus of this fun outing.

Reservations are a good idea, but not a must at Red Nose Ranch. This is because there is a tram ride (or a wagon ride, if you want to splurge). There are also a few private areas that you can rent for your family. If you’d like to do these activities, it’s wise to book online or call ahead for a reservation.

When you arrive (driving directions below), find your way inside the large barn. This is a common area, and there are a few animals, a small shop, and a place to buy some food. Stop by the corrals first and say hello to the horses, donkeys, and long-horned cattle. You can stay in this area for as long as you want, and it is wide and open.

The inside of the barn is decorated so cute, with Christmas trees you can purchase.
There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy family time.
We loved visiting with the animals.

There are Christmas trees for sale, and in the far corner is a small counter to buy food. We tried the soups and they were excellent. We also enjoyed some hot chocolate, and our boys tried the mac and cheese. The food is great, so don’t stop for dinner on the way down, but consider eating when you arrive.

We sampled most of the food and it was all tasty.

We did enjoy a private corner for our family. There was a fireplace and a corn hole game, as well as a picnic table. This is a great place to have your food and hang out with friends or family while you wait for your ride. A s’mores pack comes with the rental of the private fire pit.

Roasting s’mores was our boys’ favorite part.

There are two options for riding. The tram is included in the cost of admission, but the horse-drawn wagon is more expensive. We liked the tram ride. It takes you through a series of lights and blow up figures. As you ride, you watch two stories about Rudolph on a large screen. This makes sense because you are on the Red Nose Ranch. Our boys were excited to watch the stories on the screen, especially since we have never seen that before on other Christmas rides. Of course, the figures you ride past correspond with the audio and story in the movie, so you can watch outside the tram as well. Keep an eye out for Rudolph the Red Nosed horse. He will make a stop by with a candy cane for everyone.

The trolly ride through the lights was super fun.

Our boys thought this was such a fun part of our visit.
Watch for “Rudolph” to show up!
There are lights and blow-ups all along the ride.
