Circle D Eatery

  • Updated

On our trip to Escalante we decided to try out a new restaurant. The Circle D Eatery located on Main Street seemed just right to us. They have burgers, steak, chicken, and ribs. We were really hungry because we’d just hiked Lower Calf Creek Falls, but there was still more food than we could eat.

Watch for the Circle D Eatery as you enter Escalante from the South.

We ordered some burgers and fries, and the beef was really good. It is locally raised, and the burgers are 1/3 of a pound of meat. Mom tried avocado and bacon on hers, and Dad went for blue cheese. Both were cooked just right and were plenty thick and juicy. The fries were pretty standard, but they brought some brown gravy for Dad to dip them in, so he was happy.

There were good portion sizes.
The chips were homemade and amazing!
Mom’s burger was super good!

Our boys enjoyed their kids meals, which were priced just right. They tried spaghetti, which came in a huge bowl, quesadillas, and hand breaded chicken nuggets. We also had homemade chips and salsa for an appetizer. All together, our bill for the five of us and the appetizer was under $50 (before gratuity). That’s a price we can live with! We were also impressed with the service. Everyone was friendly and they were very good with our kids. Make sure to stop by Circle D Eatery if you’re making your way up Highway 12.

The kids meals had lots of food, too.
The waitress brought our kids activity pages to keep them entertained.
